ADOPT a pug

If you have decided that a pug is right for your family, please complete our adoption application and send it to us by email, fax, or postal mail. You will find the necessary contact information on the last page of the application. After we receive your application, we will confirm receipt. Then we ask you to be patient, as we get many applications in and cannot service them all immediately. We do not take applications on a first come first served basis. We do our best to match up the pug to your requirements and vice versa. Depending upon your desires (age, color, sex) an adoption can happen quickly or it may take some time.

Please note we only adopt in the Delaware Valley area, about a 90-minute radius of Avondale, PA

help rescue a pug

DVPR is aways in need of both monetary donations as well as everything that helps keep our rescues healthy and happy. That means collars, leashes, harnesses, toys, beds, and yummy treats. Donations are tax deductible! You can make a donation using the PayPal link below or by mailing us a check made out to Delaware Valley Pug Rescue.

About our rescue

The Delaware Valley Pug Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization. DVPR is a small rescue with big hopes for pugs in need. We believe that all animals deserve a safe, loving furever home, so we are trying to do our part with a breed that is close to our hearts. Many of our volunteers have been actively rescuing pugs for more than 10 years.

We want you to know that if you have to relinquish your pug, he or she will be going to a safe and happy home. All of our fosters and prospective adoptees are thoroughly screened. We require vet references, two personal references, and a home visit from one of our volunteers for every potential adopter to ensure that your pug is being placed in a safe environment. If you have any additional concerns,  please either give us a call or send us an email. We may also be able to help you resolve the issues with your pug so that you can keep your family together.
