OUR PROCESS
So, you've decided that a pug is right for your family, and you want to save a life by adopting a rescue – great! What next?

You can review our available, adoptable pugs right here on our website. Whether we have pugs at this time or not, you are welcome to fill out an adoption application to be added to our list of adoptees. We do NOT adopt out on a first-come first-serve basis like some other rescues – every time we have a rescue in our care, we take the time to review every applicant to ensure we find the perfect fit both for you and for our pugs.

Once you've applied, please be patient! We receive a lot of applications, and it takes us time to go through everyone. We will reach out to you via email or phone call to set up an in-home visit. We require a visit of your home for not only the safety of our pugs, but to meet the members of your family and make sure everyone is excited and ready for a new addition!

Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for updates when we rescue new pugs. We also often need fosters while our rescues are being rehabilitated and prepared for adoption – ask us about our foster-to-adopt program!
Relinquishment
We want you to know that if you have to relinquish your pug, he or she will be going to a safe and happy home. All of our fosters and prospective adoptees are thoroughly screened. We require vet references, two personal references, and a home visit from one of our volunteers for every potential adopter to ensure that your pug is being placed in a safe environment. If you have any additional concerns, please either give us a call or send us an email. We may also be able to help you resolve the issues with your pug so that you can keep your family together. If you have made this difficult decision, please fill out our relinquishment form.
